Independent Energy Solutions Names George Gisel Vice President of Business Development

Vista, CA – Independent Energy Solutions, Inc., a southern California based commercial design/build solar integrator, has named George Gisel as the company’s vice president of business development. From this new position, he will plan, direct and execute the company’s sales, marketing and business development functions. Gisel will also play the leading role in developing and strengthening key strategic relationships.

Gisel brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing and executive-level business development experience to Independent Energy Solutions (IES). Prior to joining IES, he was the national director of sales and marketing for McBride Electric, one of the nation’s largest specialized electrical contractors. During Gisel’s tenure in this role, the company successfully developed several notable solar projects ranging from 250kW to 1.3 MW. He is also a member of the American Solar Energy Society.

According to IES president, Linda Strand, “George also has a solid background in financing which, in today’s economic climate, will be important to getting new projects off the ground. It’s a great complement to our already strong engineering and project management capabilities.”
